The
Film of insulting the Prophet Muhammad SAW "Innocent of Moslem"
Innocent of Moslem, the film of insulting the prophet
Muhammad SAW, which was created by Sam Bacille, a contractor Jew lived in
America. The story of the Prophet Muhammad sparked violent protests in Libya
and Egypt. It eventually sparked bloody protests in several countries. That
controversial film was considered disrespectful to discredit the figure of the
Prophet Muhammad. It made the Muslims around the world felt humiliate and fury.
The film was released on the Internet as well as the
largest video uploaded to the site owned by Google, Youtube. Google was aware that was going to be a
challenge. The White House asked Google to
review the video that provoked protests among Muslims, especially in the Middle
East, and required Google to determine whether the content in the video was
against the rules or not.
The players actually didn't know they played in the film
that showed anti-Islamic propaganda by insulting the prophet Muhammad as a
ruthless. They felt cheating by the film's director. They claimed all references
and texts using that were titled Desert Warriors. An actress of the film, Cindy
Lee Garcia didn't think the movie that she starred would be like this, "It
drove me crazy," she said.
But, although the film became a big controversy, many
people in non Muslim countries considered that was just as an art. In the USA,
people have the right to make a work of art freely. They didn't care about it,
because the freedom of expression and the right to use innuendo were the sacred
principles of democracy. In fact, the freedom which was used in the film was as
an excuse to broadcast the trash and slime.
To summarize, the film "Innocent of Muslim"
impacted bad effects in the Muslim countries. Although many people in non
Muslim countries thought that was only an art work, it really became a crime.
However, As a Muslim, we shouldn't do anarchic and brutal as what was expected
by the filmmaker. Actually, Islam strictly prohibits any Muslim to kill fellow
human beings.
